Weekly menu

I was having a discussion the other day with another forum member Jade. We both like to do weekly meal menus. We are both getting tired of having the same old thing and are trying to add a bit of spice to the weekly menu.

Doing a weekly menu is good for a couple of reasons,

I save $50 a week on my grocery bill

I can have my meals organised with work, after school activities, and days I am home

It also helps my fussy child. Our meal planning is a family activity each week. We let our son have a say on Tuesdays for family night then we pick one/two things that is new for him or not a big fan of. Its made fighting at dinner so much easier.

I thought it would be a great idea to put our meal plans on the forum, to help other people and us get some new ideas. We would love for you to add your meal plans too. You can start your meal plan on anyday, some people shop on Mondays, Thursdays etc It can be a weekly, fortnightly plan.

I am going to put my menu up on at the start of the week. I hope you all want to join in.

I will have to write mine down, due have to think of Tezza he is not allowed any green fruit or vegetables due to his Warfarin tables(rat sack) as they affect his blood levels due to his heart.

Chloe does cook one night a week usually a friday or saturday night and she needs to wash up as well.

I save $80.00 a week and that money is to put into a rescue bank in case somethings needs to be done urgently.

I have very fussy child so i only try one new thing a week.
this week i am trying Sweet Potatoe Cottage Pie.

Well what a fab idea kimbo!! will have to put up mine too!!! have been MIA over the last week as I went to melbourne!! had an absolutely fab time, but back to reality now!!!
